091002.TravelTime. Kauai. Aprilla.
'stop/action' aprilla motorcycle show.
One angle of the exhibition.
Friday, October 02 was my flight from NYC to Lihue, HI via Phoenix AZ. A very Early morning flight, overnight procrastination packing session and an art show in williamsburg later, I was on a plane, in and out of sleep because of our bumpy sky ride. 12 hours later, I stumble out in too much clothes in a tropical paradise. The first thing that hits me is the country. It is very country.
Kauai. From the plane.
The island entourage greetings.
There are wild chicken everywhere and it's a jungle. Life is good here. There are 55 miles of highway and any construction on the road makes a 2 minute drive a 10 minute affair. I arrived here for a two day stint because my childhood friend was getting married. These are more the random shots not neccessarily based on the wedding but just my personal gape-er shots. Enjoy.
poipu sunset.
surfers at poipu. Front of Beach House Restaurant.
Between these guys, the waves and the wedding vows.. not to mention the scenery, the weather and the location... a very memorable wedding.
The Kauaiian Highway Scenery.
Kalapaki Beach.
Warm waters, funny lighter recycled Bic surfboard and , believe it or not, a few really nice size waves later, the tension is melt.

late late night beach session.
